Vegetarian kharcho 200g chopped onions 30-50g butter 100-200g crushed or finely chopped walnuts 800g can of crushed tomatoes 1 cup rice approx 12 cups of water 4 crushed cloves of garlic 1 tsp red pepper flakes 1/2 bag khmeli-suneli (what I gave you) or similar spices salt to taste two handfuls of cilantro, chopped handful of dill, chopped handful of parsley, chopped Sautee onions in butter until soft but not yet brown. Add water, walnuts, half cilantro, garlic, pepper flakes, and rice. Bring to boil, add rice and crushed tomatoes, cook until the rice is ready (approximately 30 minutes?). Add khmeli-suneli and salt, cook for 1-2 minutes. Turn off the heat, add the rest of cilantro, dill, and parsley. All the khmei-suneli mixes are different. You can easily make your own from most of the ingredients listed on the bag.
